I’ve finally stopped procrastinating long enough to add a new page to my website – all about publications and competitions. Hooray! Summon the band for my fanfare! Bring out the bunting! Prepare the confetti canons!
My partner, who is wonderful and supportive in so many ways, gave me a bit of a kick up the backside not so long ago, pointing out my woeful neglect in building this website and getting myself out there. They’re not wrong: this is the stuff I am terrible at doing, and very good at ignoring.
So I’ve been trying to do a bit better. This website is a work-in-progress-cobbled-together-at-least-it’s-not-nothing, and now it has a whole brand new page dedicated to listing competitions wot I wrote good in, and publications featuring my writing features. I’m working on growing that list.
Do check it out; buy the books even!
Purchases support the independant publishers, writing and literary groups, magazines, and projects. All those creating opportunities (and prize money…) for people like me. These aren’t big for profit publishing houses (though I do hope to attract their attention one day soon…), they are the enthusiasts around the world who provide these platforms out of love of the art.
I want to support them back. So I bought TWO copies.
Plus I get to see my name in print twice…
